Long Island is a 39-metre luxury motorsailer built in 2019 by the renowned Sökmen Kardeşler yard and refitted in 2021. Available for private crewed yacht charter in Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek and Fethiye, she welcomes up to 10 guests in five cabins with a professional crew of six – an elegant choice among the luxury gulets and motorsailers of the Turkish Riviera.

Life on Board: Classic Style and Exciting Water Toys

The heart of life on board is the large aft deck, where breakfast and dinner are served at a long shaded table, and the sundeck above with sunbeds and panoramic views over the bays. Inside, a beautiful wood-panelled saloon with a formal dining area offers a cool retreat on the hottest afternoons.

For active guests, Long Island carries a superb collection of water toys – jet ski, Seabob, eFoil, kayak, paddleboards, ringo and banana – so every swim stop becomes an adventure. Her crew of six, including a captain, chef and stewardesses, provides warm and attentive service throughout your charter.

Turkish Cuisine and Dining on Long Island

Turkish cuisine is one of the highlights of a gulet charter in Turkey. On board Long Island, the chef prepares fresh, home-style dishes with ingredients bought daily in local markets in Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek and Fethiye. Each day starts with a traditional Turkish breakfast – fresh simit and bread, village cheeses, olives, tomatoes and cucumbers, honey and clotted cream (kaymak), menemen and eggs cooked to order, served with Turkish tea.

Lunch at anchor brings colourful Aegean mezes – haydari, ezme, stuffed vine leaves, smoky aubergine and olive-oil vegetables – followed by grilled sea bass or sea bream, octopus or chicken şiş. Dinners under the stars feature slow-cooked lamb, kebabs and the catch of the day, finished with baklava, seasonal fruit and Turkish coffee. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, halal, kosher-friendly and children’s menus are all available on request, and the bar can be stocked with your favourite wines, rakı, champagne and cocktails.

Famous Restaurants Along the Coast – Ashore by Tender

A private yacht lets you combine meals on board with dinners at some of the most famous restaurants on the Turkish Riviera. The captain anchors close to shore and the crew takes you there by tender, waits or returns at the agreed time and brings you back for a late swim or a nightcap on deck. Around Bodrum, favourites include Yalıkavak Marina (home to Nusr-Et, Zuma and Sakhalin), the fishing village of Gümüşlük with seafront fish restaurants such as Mimoza, and chic Türkbükü with Macakızı. Near Marmaris and Datça, guests love the fish restaurants of Selimiye such as Sardunya, Manzara in Söğüt and the restaurants of D-Maris Bay, while around Göcek and Fethiye you can dine at Özcan in Göcek, D’Breeze at D-Resort or Adaia, a bay restaurant reached only by sea.

Many quiet bays in Gökova, Hisarönü and the Göcek islands also have small family-run restaurants with their own jetties, serving fresh fish, gözleme and village dishes. Aren Yachting can reserve your tables in advance – essential in July and August – and plan your route so that every evening ends at the right spot. Restaurant availability depends on the season and reservations.

Where to Cruise: Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek and Fethiye

Long Island can start your charter from Bodrum, Marmaris, Göcek or Fethiye. From Bodrum, cruise the pine-fringed bays of the Gökova Gulf and Cleopatra Island; from Marmaris, explore the Hisarönü Gulf, Selimiye, Bozburun and Datça; from Göcek and Fethiye, discover the Twelve Islands, Butterfly Valley and the Lycian coast. Routes to the Greek islands – Kos, Rhodes and Symi – are possible on request. A popular one-week Aegean charter follows our Bodrum – Gökova blue voyage:

  • Day 1 – Bodrum: Embark in the afternoon, welcome drinks and dinner on board in view of Bodrum Castle.
  • Day 2 – Orak Island & Çökertme: Swim in the crystal water around Orak Island, then anchor in the sheltered bay of Çökertme, famous for its seaside restaurants.
  • Day 3 – Seven Islands & English Harbour: Explore green islets and quiet coves on the southern shore of the gulf.
  • Day 4 – Sedir (Cleopatra) Island: Walk on the legendary golden sand of Cleopatra Island, then anchor in pine-shaded Karacasöğüt.
  • Day 5 – Longoz & Tuzla Bay: Forested bays for swimming, paddleboarding and sunset drinks on deck.
  • Day 6 – Kisebükü: Swim beside the ruins of an ancient church in one of the most atmospheric bays of the gulf.
  • Day 7 – Yalıçiftlik & Pabuç Burnu: Final swim stops on the way back to the Bodrum peninsula.
  • Day 8 – Bodrum: Breakfast on board and disembarkation in the morning.
