Why Sail to Olympos
The coast east of Fethiye is one of the wildest and most historic parts of Turkey. Mountains fall straight into the sea, and Lycian ruins, castles and tombs appear in almost every bay.
- Olympos: An ancient city in a wooded valley behind a long pebble beach.
- Kekova and Simena: A sunken city along Kekova Island and a castle above the village of Kaleköy.
- Lycian towns: Kalkan and Kaş, with narrow streets, restaurants and harbour views.
The Route Day by Day

Day 1 – Fethiye & Gemiler Island
Your charter begins in Fethiye, where your captain and crew welcome you on board.
A short cruise brings you to Gemiler Island, also known as St Nicholas Island, with Byzantine-era ruins on its slopes, for the first night at anchor.

Day 2 – Butterfly Valley & Kalkan
After a swim off Butterfly Valley, a narrow valley behind a beach reachable only by sea, the gulet sails south-east along the coast.
The night is spent in Kalkan, a small harbour town with white houses and rooftop restaurants.

Day 3 – Kaş & Kekova
After a stop in Kaş, the gulet continues to Kekova.
Cruise slowly along Kekova Island to see the ruins of the sunken city in the shallow water, then anchor near Üçağız for the night.

Day 4 – Olympos
Today is the longest sail of the week, past Finike and around Cape Gelidonya.
You anchor off Olympos beach. Walk into the valley behind it to explore the ruins of the ancient city among the trees.

Day 5 – Kekova & Simena
The gulet sails back west to Kekova.
Visit Kaleköy (Simena), a village reachable only by sea, and walk up to its castle for views over the bay and Lycian tombs.

Day 6 – Kaş
A short sail brings you to Kaş, a lively harbour town with narrow streets, shops and restaurants.
Spend the evening ashore or relax on board in the harbour.

Day 7 – Kalkan & Ölüdeniz
The gulet sails back along the coast, with a swimming stop near Kalkan.
Your farewell dinner and last night on board are near Ölüdeniz, with its famous turquoise water.

Day 8 – Fethiye
