Caribbean Mega Yacht Charter
Nineteen hand-picked mega yachts from 50 to 95 metres for the 2026/27 Caribbean season – St Barths, the Virgin Islands, Antigua, the Grenadines and the Bahamas – with full crews, private chefs and every toy on board.
Quick Answer
A Caribbean mega yacht charter is a private week aboard a crewed yacht of 50 metres or more, for up to 12 guests. In our fleet, weekly rates start from around $250,000 for a 50-metre yacht and exceed €1,000,000 for the largest, plus an Advance Provisioning Allowance (APA) for running costs. The season runs from December to April; New Year in St Barths is the most exclusive week and should be booked 9–12 months ahead.
A mega yacht is not simply a bigger boat – it is a private resort at sea. Expect a crew of 20 or more, a head chef who cooks to your taste for every meal, a spa and gym, a beach club at water level, a cinema, and a garage full of tenders, jet skis, Seabobs and diving equipment. In the Caribbean, these yachts take you to islands and anchorages no hotel can reach, with complete privacy for your family or guests.
Aren Yachting has been arranging private yacht charters since 2001. Our advisors work personally with each mega yacht’s captain and central agent, so we can tell you honestly which yacht suits your group, your route and your dates – and we handle every detail from the contract to your airport transfer.

What Makes a Mega Yacht Charter Different
- Space and privacy: up to 12 guests share several decks of living space, often with a private owner’s deck and suite.
- A five-star crew: 20 to 30 or more crew members, including a captain, head chef, chief stewardess, engineers, deckhands and often a spa therapist and dive instructor.
- Wellness and entertainment: spas, gyms, cinemas, jacuzzis and beach clubs at water level are common on yachts of this size.
- Toys and tenders: fast tenders, jet skis, Seabobs, paddleboards, inflatable slides and diving equipment, ready every morning.
- Range and comfort: mega yachts cross between island groups comfortably, making longer one-way routes easy.

Christmas and New Year on a Mega Yacht
The festive weeks are the highlight of the Caribbean season. Gustavia in St Barths hosts one of the world’s most famous New Year celebrations, with fireworks over a harbour full of superyachts. Demand far exceeds supply: the best mega yachts are often reserved a year ahead, festive rates are higher than the standard weekly rate, and most yachts ask for a minimum charter of 10 to 14 nights. If New Year is your goal, contact us as early as possible so we can secure your yacht.
Understanding the Price
- Charter fee: the weekly rate for the yacht and its crew, shown on each listing.
- APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance): paid in advance for fuel, food, drinks, berthing and other running costs, typically around 30–40% on mega yachts. The captain keeps a full account and any balance is returned.
- Taxes: local charter taxes vary by island and itinerary and are shown in your offer.
- Crew gratuity: at your discretion, customarily left at the end of the charter.

In our fleet, weekly rates start from around $250,000 for a 50-metre mega yacht and exceed €1,000,000 for yachts of 90 metres and more. An APA of around 30–40% and local taxes are added.
How many guests can a mega yacht take?
Most charter yachts, even the largest, are licensed for up to 12 overnight guests. More guests can usually join for day events with the captain’s approval.
How far in advance should we book?
For Christmas and New Year, 9–12 months ahead. For February to April, 4–6 months is usually enough, though the largest yachts book early.
Can we charter a mega yacht for less than a week?
Some yachts accept shorter charters outside peak weeks, usually at a pro-rata rate. Festive weeks normally require 10–14 nights.
Do mega yachts have helicopter pads?
Some of the largest yachts do. Tell us if a helipad matters to you and we will shortlist the right yachts and arrange the transfers.
