The best yachts and the most popular summer weeks in the Aegean are often taken months in advance. That is why many of our guests book their charter in winter: they secure the exact yacht and week they want, then plan flights and holidays around a confirmed date.
38 m luxury motor yacht HarunIf you are booking a motor yacht, gulet, motorsailer or trawler with Aren Yachting in the Aegean, this guide explains exactly how the payment schedule works, what happens if your plans change, and how provisioning is arranged so everything is ready when you step on board.
How the Payment Schedule Works
For winter bookings of motor yachts, gulets, motorsailers and trawlers in the Aegean, the charter fee is paid in two parts:
- 40–50% deposit at booking. This payment confirms your chosen yacht and week. From that moment the dates are reserved for you, and you can book flights and plan the rest of your holiday with confidence.
- Balance one month before your charter. The remaining balance of the charter fee is due one month before your embarkation date.
The exact deposit rate, between 40% and 50%, depends on the size of the yacht and the requirements of the yacht owner. Your Aren Yachting representative will share the exact rate and payment terms for the yacht you choose, and we prepare your charter contract accordingly.
Splitting the payment this way lets you lock in the yacht and week you want early, without paying the full amount months ahead.
Provisioning: Paid One Month Before, Ready When You Arrive
Provisioning covers the food and drinks served on board during your charter: breakfast, lunch, dinner and beverages. It is separate from the charter fee.
We request the provisioning payment one month before your charter, together with the balance. This gives our team and crew time to plan your menu and stock the yacht, so everything is prepared and waiting for you on the day you arrive.
35 m luxury motor yacht Sanref (Falcon 115)Can I Change My Charter Dates?
Yes, as long as the yacht you booked has an available week later in the season. In that case we can move your reservation to the available week, and your payments carry over to the new dates.
If the week you would like to move to is already booked, we are unable to make the change. The earlier you let us know, the more open weeks there usually are to choose from.
Cancellation and Force Majeure
Payments are refunded only in cases of force majeure, such as an earthquake or another natural disaster that makes the charter impossible.
Outside of force majeure, payments are non-refundable. This policy also protects your reservation: once your deposit is paid, the yacht and week are held for you and taken off the market. If you are unsure about your dates, ask us about the date change option above before you cancel.
